We believe in the unifying power of cycling to bring people together, promote a healthy lifestyle, and contribute to society. Our club is open to everyone, regardless of background, and we actively encourage participation from all walks of life.

Our Story
The idea to formalise SMCC into an official club came in February 2015, driven by a growing interest in cycling and the absence of cycling clubs in our region. Our founders recognised the need for a structured platform where cyclists of all levels could come together, share their passion, and engage in organised rides. Since then, SMCC has blossomed into a club that caters to both veteran cyclists and casual riders, offering a range of activities from easy weekly rides to intense training sessions.
One of the inspirations behind SMCC is the legacy of Jack Walsh, a local legend whose passion for cycling left an indelible mark on Punchbowl and the surrounding suburbs. Despite his passing in 2010, his influence continues to resonate within our community. The iconic sign at Uncle Jack’s—still standing untouched—serves as a poignant reminder of his contributions. At SMCC, we are committed to rekindling that passion and restoring the vibrant cycling culture that once thrived in our area.
