LAKEMBA TO THE ENTRANCE: For The Worthiest Of Causes!
To say that the year of 2021 is whizzing past is an understatement and it’s hard to believe that we are already on the doorstep of another huge fundraiser.
This Sunday March 21, the Sydney Muslim Cyclists will be riding from the Lakemba Masjid to The Entrance on the central coast of New South Wales, one of the state’s most scenic and breathtaking holiday destinations.
The distance of this arduous ride is 120 kilometres and while on paper this may appear to be a strenuous and even daunting task for those of us involved, we are all really looking forward to the challenge!
Last November, our ride from Sydney to Wollongong raised $10,000 for the poor people of Lebanon, when Human Appeal was the lead organisation.
This time, we have partnered with Sadaqcare Australia and we are looking to raise $20,000 this time Inshallah, with the aim being to use those funds to purchase 400 food packs to feed our brothers and sisters suffering extreme poverty in Lebanon.
Each food pack will feed an impoverished family for a whole month.
The entire Muslim community in Sydney – and indeed, Australia – is well aware of the current plight of the poor in Lebanon, and every dollar raised from our ride will be a dollar well spent.
So we ask that you please ‘dig deep’ to assist our brothers and sisters overseas.
Your generous donation will see Allah SWT remove a burden from you on the Day of Judgement, in return for your actions in removing a worldly burden from your brother or sister.
Payment details for donations by bank transfer are as follows:
• Account name: Sadaqcare Australia Inc
• BSB: 082 356
• Account: 49 584 6250
• Ref: SMC21
• Credit card & PayPal Payments via www.sadaqcare.com.au
The Sydney Muslim Cyclists Club was formed in 2015 and over the years, we have raised a massive amount of funds for very worthy causes, both locally and internationally.
If you click on the Ride Portfolio tab on you will be able to see the many organisations we have assisted and the causes that we have championed.
The current situation in Lebanon is dire and we can assure you that all donations are gratefully received, no matter how big or how small.
Jazak Allah Khair, Thank You
